In swimming pool ‘t Siel in Luttenberg (the Netherlands) Variodeck has installed a pool cover. The pool cover of this project is special one, it’s a solar cover. The most important benefit of a solar pool cover is ofcourse the optimal use of solar energy. We use the sun as our energy source. Swimming pool is heated in an environmentally conscious way.

The solar panels

The solar panels are provided with a guide strip for controlled up- and unrolling. Solar version gives the warmth, absorbed by the sun, directly to the pool water. Beside this is better for the environment it will also saves costs to heat up the pool. To kill two birds with one stone!
